STEWARDSHIP AT TRINITY
Time, Talent, and Treasurer are very important to all church communities. We commit ourselves at Trinity in every way possible using our Time, Talent, and Treasure resources to ensure our parish is thriving and available to the Blackstone Valley area. Our parish serves several civic entities such as Alcoholics Anonymous four (4) times a week and is making plans to start a clothing and household goods ministry.
October is when we celebrate Stewardship Sunday at Trinity. Prior to Stewardship Sunday, several testimonies are given by parishioners about their personal commitments to Stewardship and their commitment to Trinity Church. Many of our parishioners are third and fourth generation to our little (but mighty) country congregation. One testimony was so compelling; it truly inspired every one of us to raise the bar in each category of Time, Talent and Treasure. Here is an excerpt from that testimony:
"We Give" by Jay Taintor
We give because Christians are still being persecuted for their faith
We give because 1.5 billion people live (and die) in extreme poverty
We give because some of our neighbors haven’t encountered Christ and because through our giving they might
We give to usher in God’s Kingdom and to be part of something bigger than ourselves
We give because indifference was not an option for Jesus and because it cannot be an option for us
We give to change both the world and our own hearts
We give because we worship one God and it isn’t money
We give because we were bought at an immeasurable High Price
